“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”
(1 John 4:7)
It’s Valentine’s Day! A day we’re reminded how important Love is as the director of our lives. Yes, Valentine’s Day can be overly commercialized and sometimes people feel badly when they don’t receive cards, chocolates, flowers, or romantic dinners. Yet those outside demonstrations are just that–outside. What’s important is the Love that comes from within. It’s the inner Love, our Christ essence, that connects us to each other.
s so strong he was able to lead an entire nation to freedom from the colonial suppression of the British Empire. Makes me wonder what miracles we could create if we were to draw on that same
deep, abiding power of Love in our own lives.
So what do you say? Are you willing? Are you willing to focus on Love today, Valentine’s Day? And having experienced Love for an entire day, are you willing to focus on Love one more day, and then one more after that, and continue to focus on Love until it becomes your natural state of being? Imagine the transformational difference your Love will make in the world!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Happy Valentine’s Day today
and every day. Know that you are a blessing, you
are blessed, and you are the beloved of God.
